There are two checkpoints, and they're both in places where it's reasonably hard to re-trigger an old one. It still suffers the same problem most vertical levels have, of usually falling all the way to the beginning and having to kill yourself, though. I hope it's not too much of a problem, considering how short it is.

It plays alright, fine for me.  I agree about falling too far, but that's an unfixable issue with this game more or less.  People restart when they make mistakes anyways so it doesn't really matter.

As for the art, the fog trigger makes no sense.  Usually you want the background to get universally darker than the foreground, or lighter.  But here, your map has random gradients of stuff both in front of and behind the player being either darker or lighter.  The trees also look really bad since they are so bright but don't cast any light, like from the props with transparency in the "backdrops" section.  It's just kinda a mess.

The fog trigger was set up specifically to match the bit of Homestuck it references. I probably should have stuck some of the light transparents on the trees though.

Welp, I guess I might have liked it more if I knew what it was supposed to be.  That link doesn't really show me anything similar though, just a kid standing in a room and no blue.
