Second try at making this kind of map.  Dead jorfs (null jorfs?) is meant to indicate a jorf on the right top side of a tile with negative x-coordinates.  You can only stand on these jorfs if you are exactly 36 pixels to the right of the center of the tile.  Note that this is different from positive x-coordinate jorfs which require your position to be in the range 36-37 pixels to the right of center.  Here your position must be exactly the right value; a feat which is nearly, but not quite, impossible.

Since when did putting deathzones in maps become optional?

Not like it matters for this map.  I've always been of the opinion that death zones aren't that useful on maps with no checkpoints.
