I know it's rather similar to surf wax but I wanted to demo faster lateral zip speed with this new construction and up-right down-right zips.
Vertical zips move you at a rate of 300 tiles/s. This zip moves you horizontally at a rate of ~75 tiles/s. Dash speed is 10.875 tiles/s. Max fall speed is 40 tiles/s. Max slope boost speed is somewhere a bit under 40 tiles/s.
This zip also doesn't seem to mess with your proper horizontal speed meaning you could probably get up to ~100 tiles/s if you slope boost into it.
