Plenty of other people have done it, and so now I shall join in on the fun: I'm going to start remaking some of my older maps. The biggest reason for this is my older maps are pretty bad and I see so much room for improvement. My ambition outpaced my skill at the time. Since I have no originality at all, I will make all these maps "dark" versions of the originals. 3 spooky 5 u
Enigma was the first time I tried to make a difficult map, and I went about it in the worst way. I made a lot of things symetrical or spaced artistically, because I was still really bad at Dustforce. As a result, a lot of the obstacles were really tight without being fun at all. Looking back I see a couple rooms I still think are really cool... and some others where I can't even imagine how I thought that would be fun for anyone. Dark Enigma expands upon the dustblock platforming in more creative ways, with more variety and less repetition. Additionally, it now has a new proper any% route with a camera that doesn't make players do an entire dustblock platforming section blindly (the camera was so bad). The difficulty and length of the map have been rebalanced to be less punishing.
