last checkpoint is hard

Adding more checkpoints, that in no way make SS or Any% any easier, just so that players can practice the map more easily as they die? Pffft, miss me with that common sense bullshit.
i have a bad habit of not putting enough.. since i play as i make maps. so some sections i think are easy are really not.
i think long checkpoints can be fine in the context of a hard map, so that completing the checkpoint is it's own reward (e.g. end of yotta). However many mapmakers (very much including me) don't design with checkpoints in mind and the entire map is one long air control combo, so checkpoints then end up being afterthoughts and are either left out, placed in the air or on jorfs which feels like sloppy design. I think this map does a good job at least of having distinct checkpoint sections.
Yeah I think this map is actually a good example of that first part of your comment. I don't think there should be an added checkpoint there, it wouldn't feel right since the end is right there anyway.
I had fun with it. Some sections took a bit of thought. Ended up grinding for a while to get a couple of reasonable runs down. Understandably not a CMR map, but I think that's more down to difficulty.
