The editor has a help tab.  If you read it, you can learn all kinds of things about the editor.  Then your map can have features like music besides the default music, and art that implies it took more than 5 minutes to make.  While these certainly aren't essential, they are highly recommended.

This is a really good third attempt.  I found the any% excellent, though the ss-route had some awkward stuff.
