Oh i figured out what it was. The parts with the hilly backgrounds. Tropicallo does an amazing job in his maps with like 4 layers with them making it look really full and amazing and less empty. Still love the map =)

The last 1/3rd of the level felt a bit off/awkward for some reason, it always just kind of felt like I was doing it wrong or something I dunno. Otherwise well done. :)

Nice level! I liked a lot the part in the cavern, really fun.

Thanks! The cave section was originally the whole level, but I thought it might give a little "storyline" if I did what I did with the forest sections. Also stretches the level out to around 1min for a good run :D

Some parts felt awkward.  The area with the arrows pointing up, for example, where you have to jump and ceiling run on the spherical surface before jumping on top of it.  Also felt that the cherry-gargoyle section immediately after was awkward as well.  I don't see how to complete that jump after hitting the gargoyle without using a dash-jump.

As for aesthetics, when you're making a background include some variety.  If you look at the stock maps, and some of the maps by other users here like Tinker, you'll noticed that the backgrounds aren't just one flat texture.  They have character to them.  This is something I still struggle with, too.  Often takes more time making a map look good than it does making it play well.

In regards to the section with the apple and the gargoyle, try using a Backwards swipe. Check out the maps Night Owl or Backwards Swipes if you are unsure. Or you could just watch my replay... I can't dash jump to save myself haha.

And thanks for that comment on the background! I'll try and use multiple layers & textures for my background next time :)

They take a fair bit of practice, but once you get them right, they're heaps of fun!

Yep, played through this and was like "You know, this kind of reminds me of that frost level Tropicallo made, the one Towelie completely destroyed...uh oh" :P
