These are my mapped hitboxes for each of the characters default light attack. As you can see they are each a rectangle. Variations are only in length or height. How low and backward they go is consistent between all the characters.
I have positioned them consistently via checkpoint warps. In order to move to other platforms simply jump straight up till you are high enough to hit the checkpoint and death zone. Don't move when you spawn, initially or via checkpoint.
