In the future I would suggest that you add some distance between your death zones and the expected playable space.  It's really annoying to hit a death zone in the middle of a perfectly reasonable path through what is visible.  If you want to prevent a player from taking a path, either make it visible with background tiles, or make it visible with spikes (I prefer spikes generally).

I don't usually comment on map design, but it looks like you have good ideas and I'd like to see more.  That said, there are a couple quick and easy changes that would make the level feel way better to play.

On Death Zones: As mentioned, the map would be a much better experience if you used spikes instead simply because spikes feel more fair than deathzones. Avoid 45 degree spikes if you want to prevent spikejumping shenanigans but otherwise spikes provide immediate knowledge about where you can or cannot go.

If you intend to have a checkpoint platform, place the sprite inside the platform so the player can begin playing immediately instead of being in the air.  (Air checkpoints are fine when they're intended, but on this map it appears you have platforms for each checkpoint.)

Also, mousebutton4 I think lets you flip what direction your character spawns.  I don't think I even have a mousebutton4 but in the case that you want to go crazy with the map experience, that's just another bit of polish that people (like myself) appreciate.

Cheers, hope to see more.

I really liked the mechanics in this map.  My biggest complaint is the location of death zones, and the cramped nature of the zetta slope/other pacing.  Spread stuff out to make going faster feel a little more natural.

This map has a ton of potential.  Usually we try to learn from a map and move on to new ones to avoid flooding atlas, but I'd love to see a revamp of this map with some fixes.
